Advice needed

Hi all new here.
Really need advice on this. Our son is wanting to do small trades  and link it to an isa we are having to link our names to it as he’s not an adult yet. I’m disabled and we get benefits some income related and others not. We don’t want to do anything illegal. I know there is a £6000 limit but is our son allowed? He won’t be making lots of money from it as he would be putting small amounts on. Really want to get it right but also want my son be able to do it.

Thank you.

  • What £6000 limit?

Would this be an ISA or a junior ISA?

I may have misinterpreted the question but if your son is trading in your name - legally aren’t you just trading? The gains/losses are in your name.

On a side note “little trades” seem like a easy way to lose money fast - on small amounts transaction fees for buying and seeking shares eat up a lot, of your profits (if any).
