You used to be able to unsubscribe from a thread using a link in the notification email but not any more. No information available on the Help page either.

Good point! Some threads are irrelevant to us after all.
    Now a gainfully employed bassist.

There is a button at the top of each thread click once to bookmark click twice to unbookmark, you can also uncheck the tag at the side of the thread when looking at the board index, the ones you have bookmarked are dark in colour.

You would also do well to check your Notification Preferences. Click on 'Notifications' (the bell symbol in the blue bar at the top of the forum), then click the three lines on the right hand side of where it says Notifications. The need to 'subscribe' can be much reduced by selecting the relevant options.

What's this "Notify me when people write on my wall."
What the hell is this wall? Should I call the police or the local council to have graffiti removed?

If you go to your (or another person's) Profile and scroll down to the bottom, there is an area headed 'Activity'.  I believe that this is the Chat 'Wall' where people can chat on a 1 to 1 basis. It does look as if this function is currently disabled or I could be wrong.
Try searching Google for 'Vanilla Forums wall'.

    A cunning plan.
    Few know about it.
    So, few use it.
Disable it, so no-one can use it.
Discontinue it, due to lack of interest.
