Payment from Vodafone years after we left them

We received a bank credit from Vodafone recently for just over £20 but we have no idea why. We were with them for years but left more than 5 years ago. Is this a genuine refund or the first step to a scam?

I win so far on the lowest amount of £0.64
I rang Vodafone a couple of days ago to check if this payment was genuinely from them or an error etc. I was advised that my amount relates to interest on an historic credit balance (I left them approx 5 years ago).
I didn't bother getting into it any further, I mainly wanted to check the payment was genuine and not some sort of scam, all seems legit in that regard.2 -
I stumbled across this and now I'm fuming that I haven't received an unexpected payment.2

Me too. But I haven’t been with Vodafone so that’s probably why.TheStoozeFather said:I stumbled across this and now I'm fuming that I haven't received an unexpected payment.5 -
Why not, this sounds like discrimination to me, I'm sure there must be a claims company that could help with this!Herbalus said:

I got an email apology from an energy provider last week apologising for over charging me around 4 years ago, they say I can expect a cheque for £4 in the post!

I've never been a customer of Vodafone and have received nothing. It's a disgrace. I feel I'm being profiled and discriminated against. This space has been intentionally left blank3
