Easyjet Voucher Refund

I had accepted a voucher for a flight from Newcastle to Split
As Easyjet have withdrawn all but 3 flights from Newcastle I have requested a refund as I believe is now not fit for purpose.
I had accepted the voucher before they had withdrawn from Newcastle airport.
I have contacted them by telephone and e-mail but they refuse to refund stating I have 12 months to use the voucher – but as they now do not fly anywhere I wish to go I’m stuck with a voucher not worth the paper it’s written on.
I have requested they reconsider and the contact details for the complaints procedure and governing body to contact.
Have I any other options or do I just have to accept the voucher?
Thank you for your help - LindaComments

I am in a similar position, accepted vouchers for a party of 6 back in June and used some of the value to book flights out of Newcastle next June. Obviously that not going to happen and as the Costa del Bristol or Belfast Riviera dont appeal there are zero options for an alternative. I have contacted EasyJet but haven't had a reply yet, however am expecting to be fobbed off.
As they have massively changed the playing field by abandoning Newcastle, and they must have had a pretty good idea this was going to happen back in June I believe customers have been misled into accepting these credit notes. I dont know if they have broken any laws or not, but it certainly is a pretty underhanded way to run a company, and I will be exploring legal options once they have refused my request for a refund.1
