Land Register Title does not change

I completed a house purchase last October and received my solicitor's email that they would handle the stamp duty payment and title register. Today I checked Land Registry and surprisingly found that the title register is still under the previous owner's name. Does it mean my solicitor did not finish the work? What can I do now?
I am quite anxious as it seems I do not own the property even though I paid the money!
Thanks everyone for their time in advance!

Contact your solicitor? Are you sure you're looking at the right thing?TiantianChen said:What can I do now?

your solicitor should have sent you a new land registry document with your name added on to it, when this was done. did you not get that document?0

I did not receive that document. I was very busy at refurbishing the property since last November and forgot to check with the solicitor. I took for granted that she would just complete the registration.AskAsk said:your solicitor should have sent you a new land registry document with your name added on to it, when this was done. did you not get that document?

I just emailed her. Hopefully she will explain what happens tomorrow. Will I have to complain about or sue her if she does not respond?davidmcn said:

she would complete the registration after you have completed on the property. the new document normally gets sent to you about a month after completion.TiantianChen said:

Why don't you just give her a chance to reply first?TiantianChen said:

Yes I checked via this address. She emailed me that she would pay stamp duty and register title on my behalf after the purchase was completed, but I did not hear from her since then. I might just wait until tomorrow and see what she replies.AskAsk said:

that is very strange. did you buy the house with a mortgage or did you pay in cash? if you had a mortgage, she would have sent the new title to your lender as well.TiantianChen said:

it would be reasonable to give solicitors 2 weeks to reply to your email. so give her at least a week to reply before you start getting too upset. if the solicitors is bona fide, you should be fine as they are heavily regulated in the UK.0 -
I paid by mortgage. Indeed, it is very strange that she does not complete title registration.AskAsk said:

The vendor sold the four properties in one building at one time to four different buyers. I checked their title deeds and surprisingly found that only one title was changed.
