Sky trying to sell when I just want them to fix a problem

I have had probs with internet going in and out since new year. In Feb rang and limited package to save money (existing contract) and see what other VIP bits I was missing out on. Since then, signal gone in and out now and then, got worse, and now it goes nearly every day. When I call, they ignore what I am actually saying and almost try to force fibre onto me. I was told in July that lines may have deteriorated and as was not my fault I could have free fibre. But would have to call back next day as no manager around late at night. When I did, they said Sky had outsourced calls to people and none of these calls are recorded. I cannot believe this! So I am now left with dodgy broadband (that was fine for 7 years until this year for some reason). Just trying to force me to add more. I need it for work, ongoing, so am stuck!

Can you hear noise on the line if you listen on a corded phone plugged into the phone socket? If you can report it as a noisy line and don't mention the broadband. If the line is noisy fixing that will fix the broadband.

If you work from home wouldn't fibre be a good solution especially if it is "free".0
