Trader selling private car from their forecourt

Hi,
Looking for some advice please - bought a car from a traders forecourt, and was told on purchase that the trader was actually selling it for one of his mechanics but he'd honour the 3 months warranty period on it as a goodwill gesture. Typically within a week i've had a few issues, (aircon stopped working, knocking from font driveshaft) - as the original garage isn't local to me i took it in to a friendly specialist nearby and they've found a whole list of faults with it, from welded seals to bald tyres on the inner edges.
I'm going to phone up tomorrow and see if the list will be honoured under the warranty but wanted to go in ready - by selling the vehicle from the forecourt and advertising on the garages website does this overide the personal sale aspect and give me more rights to complain?
feeling like a complete mug at the moment so any good news would be appreciated!
thanks

Who did you pay the money to and whos name was it on the receipt/invoice?1

Dear OP
Too many times I have read people taking the car into another garage and they found this that and the other.
Give the guys a chance and see how it goes.
Cars can be working the one second and broken down the next.
The trader IMHO should have sold you the car with full dealer facilities or not.
One of my family sold their E class convetible with high miles as they did around 40-45k miles a year - they car had all the toys you coul think of - it was P/xd. The dealer sold high end cars year to two old but as this was high mileage, we say it advertised on a well known website as a "private sale."
The lots of faults, what were they if you dont mind say
I'm on your side though may not sound like it but I post honestly and want tyou to be ready and not go ott and wind them up

Don't worry, i'm happy to give them a chance to put things right - and being nice is always my way of dealing with things (probably too soft!) - just want to have all the info if they start pushing back.
issues are:
Aircon compressor fault,
brake fluid tests as poor
faulty folding mirror motor
tyres worn below 1.6m inner edges
rear inner brake pads below 2mm
front upper suspension ball joint split
o/s brake pipe perished, and metal pipe kinked
o/s CV boot split
both front shock absorber bushes perished
welding on inner seals
CV joint knocking on o/s
Fault codes in various ECU modules
Its a 2008 audi, so the parts are going to be quite pricey to replace!0 -
It's a 12yo car... How much was it?
Half of those things any reasonable pre-purchase inspection would have picked up, most of the rest are wear and tear consumables.
A couple would be MOT fails - how much test does it have? What does the MOT history say? https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/

Does it mean " Welding on inner SILLS " , was this a bodge job or a proper repair.0

The car was 8k, it’s got 6 months mot which I some how overlooked when I bought it, the wear and tear things are kind of acceptable - but I kind of feel they’ve done a sell it as private job to save doing a lot of the other bits. Initially concerned about welding on a 12 year old Audi, but suppose it’s one of those things0

Eight grand for a sheddy 12yo Audi...? What model...?0
-
Q5 Sline - 70k miles0

You paid £8k for a 12yo Audi. I hope it had extremely low mileage and good condition for that price!
Was it an S8?
I heard someone recently selling one of those that burst into flames!1
