Can I open more than one type of ISA this year?

Hi, Sorry got a few questions as today.
  1. To confirm each financial year you can put money into one cash ISA, one Lifetime ISA and Stock/Share ISA yes (as the amount collectively going into all three ISA's doesn't go over £20k this financial year)?
  2. I currently have a Barclays Help To Buy ISA, this is a type of cash ISA yes?
  3. So I should be able to still put money into one Lifetime ISA and one Stocks/Share ISA this year (as long as the amount collectively going into all three ISA's doesn't go over £20k this financial year)?
  4. I currently only have Help To Buy ISA (Cash ISA), is it possible for me to open both a Lifetime ISA and stocks/share ISA this financial year? As they are two different types of ISA? Can I open one of each ISA or can I only one this year (aka only Lifetime ISA or Stock/Shares ISA)?
I have been on the phone with Barclays that directed me to HMRC, for HMRC to direct me to Financial Ombudsman Service, for them to direct me to Citizen Advice...nobody has actually helped me and nowhere on the gov website does it definitely answer my questions 2 or 4 above? If somebody could answer and direct me where to the correct gov document where it clearly states the answer that would be great :)

You can open as many ISAs as you like but you can only subscribe to (pay new money into) one ISA of each type in one financial year
So yes you can subscribe to a Help to Buy ISA (a type of cash ISA), a LISA and a Stocks and Shares ISA this year

There are 4 types of ISA:

    • cash ISAs
    • stocks and shares ISAs
    • innovative finance ISAs
    • Lifetime ISAs

You can put money into one of each kind of ISA each tax year.
