I would send it to every email address you can find. Possibly address it to their legal department if they have one. You need to ensure the DPO understands that along with applying for the set aside you are instructing them to erase your old data and update it with your new address for service.
'Phone lines being open or not is irrelevant. Never, ever 'phone a scammer. It's content is not worth the paper upon which it is writ.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Thanks.
When we found out about the CCJ we updated our address with the court and waited first for any correspondence from them (we didn't get any) My husband then contacted CEL when we and explained we never received the ticket or Ccj orders - he gave them our new address. They asked us to pay the £350 and get it satisfied but we have never heard from them since. It was at this point we thought we did not have a leg to stand on to get the ccj removed.

I have no idea about the court process, but I do know the word you want is Defence, not Defense.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

OP, I agree with Fruitcake: please double check your spelling before you send anything off and don't use Americanisms - we're not the 51st State (yet)Fruitcake said:I have no idea about the court process, but I do know the word you want is Defence, not Defense.

Yes. I think it went to predictive text, silly phone. I will ensure it says Defence.

Don't try navigating this forum on a 'phone. There are many features and glitches when using a 'phone that will cause you problems. You need to be using at the minimum a tablet, but better yet a laptop or desk top pooter.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Also, OP, please try and use a laptop/desktop PC rather than your phone when using this forum: for some reason, the (so-called) new forum software seems to mess up more (or hide more functionality) when you're on a phone...2

I was just using the phone to reply - not to navigate the site. I figured out pretty quickly that the phone wasn't going to be appropriate when reading through the Templates/Threads etc. Thanks.1

This is such a danger to actually getting a set aside. If you need the opportunity afforded by the discretionary set aside route the court must consider that you acted promptly. Waiting for ANYONE is dangerous and should only be done for a few days if you are acting within a week or so of discovery.jodiddy11 said:Thanks.

If you managed to argue successfully that service is bad it doesn't matter about promptness.
