Superfast Broadband deal ending, all providers say Superfast unavailable

Hi,
We are currently coming to the end of a BT Superfast broadband deal where we’re getting 70Mbs. When I search for a new deal on comparison sites and click through to a provider they all say that the deal is unavailable or that the maximum speed they can offer is 2Mbs.
Is there a lockout of other providers by BT for a period of time after they install Superfast? We’re hitting the end of year three now.
It appears as though we’re limited to dealing with BT on the prices that they set.
Does anyone have experience of this?

There is no lockout. It may be that the cabinet is full so there isn't a port available, assuming that you currently have FTTC and not FTTP0

As pointed out by littleboo, most likely is the cabinet is full if you have FTTC. Enter your details and see if there is a Waiting list.

Thank you for the replies, but we do have fibre to the premises, if this makes any difference.0

If you have FTTP then your choice of providers apart from BT is limited. A list of providers is at https://www.openreach.com/fibre-broadband/fttp-providers
BT normally come out cheapest for FTTP.1 -
As above , just checked my FTTP and BT the best .Many ISPs are yet to supply over FTTP .OP 70 meg is rather an odd product for FTTP are you sure you are not on 80/20 FTTP .2

The current product we have yields around 68Mbs download, they may have a different product name for it. We were on 2mbs previously, so it’s very welcome!0

For information, I spoke to BT at length and they amended their pricing to less than my existing contract. So although a long drawn out process, a good result.
Thanks to unforseen for the heads up on providers that supply FTTC, really useful.
That’s us done for another two years.1
