Now TV Roku box doesn't have Amazon app

Hi there, I have resisted getting Amazon Prime for a long time now, but I am now seriously thinking about it. I do have Now TV (just entertainment) and i got the basic Roku box from them on a special a few years ago. I can add all sorts of apps to that box, but not Amazon, and I honestly don't want to have to watch that on my laptop. I am not that keen on the fire stick - for cost reasons and also because I don't want to voice commands. Are there any suggestions? Is there a way to add the amazon app to the Now box?

So what is it you actually have ?
A Roku box ?
From my understanding you can add Amazon video to a Roku device.

If its a Now TV box ghen I dont think you can.

Whats wrong with the voice commands on a Firestick ?

Now TV does not support Amazon Prime.  It never has done.

An actual Roku box gives you everything but the kitchen sink, it'll do NowTV, Prime, Netlifx, Disney+, Apple and others.  NowTV is based on the Roku box, but is first and foremost a Now TV box as that is what it was sold as.

The Firestick you do not have to use voice commands, you can just use it as a remote control.

I don't know what you're talking about, I have a basic Roku streaming device and it definitely has an app for Amazon video. Then it appears you actually have a Now TV box, in which case you won't be able to access Amazon video.

I don't know what you're talking about, I have a basic Roku streaming device and it definitely has an app for Amazon video. Then it appears you actually have a Now TV box, in which case you won't be able to access Amazon video.

It is not that I don't like it. I just cannot justify the cost. I already have NowTV and a Now TV box. On that box I can watch Netflix, so I may get that in addition to Now TV. Also, I don't know how to to install everything. I have a DVD player, that I do use, and then all the different devices and it isn't a brand new TV. It all becomes a bit much!
