According to MSE, Monzo now tops the "official banking league table" https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/2020/08/monzo-tops-latest-official-banking-league-table

Not that this would tempt me to use my dormant Monzo account but I thought it's rather interesting that the much-complained-about Monzo is actually the darling of the pollsters.

Whoever votes on these polls? Sorry but Monzo is awful. So awful in fact, I eventually switched away as they simply wouldn't close my account on the app.

It's all a personal preference thing. To me Santander & Barclays are two of the best banks I've ever dealt with. Most would be like urgh - but they're both fine to me (so far)! ;)

"Results are only published where at least 100 customers have provided an eligible score for that service in the survey period."
Which really makes it very reliable and accurate!

@funkycredit I have switched a Monzo account in the past. IIRC Monzo fully close the account after 6 months.

I've had no problems with Monzo but, then again, I only use it for my supermarket shopping each month. @funkycredit, what makes you say that they are awful?
I agree with you about Barclays. Never had any problems in 30 years, yet others hate them.
I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.

I don't have a Facebook account, but I'll have a look. Banks don't steal money.

Obviously, but that is the name of the page. Not all the members will be money launderers! Most are likely to be innocent but have had their money taken.

There is no way a bank could retain their FCA licence if they withheld money that the customers have legally acquired and that is the legal property of their customers. Somebody claiming on the internet that they are innocent is no proof that they actually are.

I've been with Monzo for over a year now - no problems at all; like the app features which work for me,  and had no problems at all with customer services.
