New EE customer sim deals

Used to be with EE (for 10+ years) but decided to switch last year to 3, as EE wouldn’t budge on the upgrade package and was expensive in comparison to over providers (I’m now currently on the 3 sim only package at £10/ month).  3 have been ok but service/coverage generally not been as good as I had hoped and looking to move back to EE. However the best new customer deals involve excess amounts of dats that I don’t need (80gb for £20). I probably use max 8GB but the deals with less data on EE are expensive in comparison (just 1GB data for £16!). I can get 20% discount as an nhs employee (taking the EE 80gb deal down to £16 but it’s on a 2 year contract) but is there anyway of getting a decent amount of data (8-10gb) for around the £10 mark as a new customer? My partner is on EE if there is anyway to utilise his account to get a better new customer deal for me. Any help appreciated! Just don’t want to pay for data I’m not going to use and don’t want to get ripped off of the cheaper packages either.

Switch to Plusnet (which uses the EE network and is owned by BT) as they have various lower data packages.

Problem with Plusnet is that they don't offer EE features like wifi calling, visual voicemail etc on compatible handsets.
OP, as chistery has said, EE are doing a deal for 10gb data for £10/m if you buy through uswitch.com...this is a cracking deal.

if you get your partner to add your number to his EE account he can gift you data for free every month. i do this with my wife. i pay £10pm for 10GB and unlimited calls and texts. she pays £5pm for 1GB and unlimited calls and texts. i use on average 3GB a month so every month i gift her 4 or 5GB of data via the EE app. works instantly and we get 1 bill a month for under £16 covering both lines. this is on a sim only 12 month contract.
