iPhones - Is paying £79 for Apple Care+ worth it?
Comments
-
I think only you can decide if Applecare+ is worth the £79, ie how well do you look after your phone etc. Also check with your bank/BS to see if they include mobile phone insurance as standard with your bank account. The account I have with Nationwide (FlexPlus) includes mobile insurance as standard amongst other perks though I do pay £13/m for the extra features.1

It's like any other insurance, if you need to use it then it will have been a good idea, if you don't it will appear to wasted money.1

Depends upon the excess on contents insurance and what's covered by insurance as not all the same .

Why would you need insurance on something that’s worth £400?
A total waste of money.2 -
Although I'm no fan of Apple insurance I believe it's because if you smash the screen and go into an Apple store, they'll attempt to charge you more than the phone is worth to replace the screen. Instead, they'll try to flog you a new phone. If you're likely to smash the screen it might be worth it as you can only get official replacement screens from Apple.I hate Apple and the way it opperates. You could save the money and go to an independant repair store but oh no, Mr Apple doesn't allow that and won't supply official screens so you are forced to go to the Apple store. Then you have the case of restoring data with all the Apple stores claim is impossible, take it to an independant repair store and they'll do it for you. The fact they are fighting Right to Repair in America shows the mentality of Apple.0
