I’ve just made my first ‘big’ overpayment more than £20 🤣 in a very long time! I’ve just OP £241.55 which has bought my balance down to the next £k to £61,999.99 from my calculations with the £1000 op in December and others in between I’ll be into the £50ks by the time I renew at the end of April.

Forgot how good getting down to the next bracket feels lol x

Well done.  Even those smaller amounts will add up to make a difference :)

Yeah! I’ve just been on the calculations and I should be on £59999 on New Year’s Day and can get to £58,400 for renewal which would have me at around 50% or lower LTV 😊

Thanks everyone! And @sakura2023 you must have been bored 🤣 only joking thankyou.. I’ll probably read through it myself one day if I could bring myself to do it. I did read one diary and it was great following somebody’s life over about 6 years where she had gone from having nothing and leaving a bad relationship to what I think now she is financially flying.. through pure hard work and determination. X

I’ve just spent the last few days reading it, was really interesting reading how we all went through Covid, think most of us have forgotten or deliberately wiped it out 🤣🤣

Sorry about the rat problem. Env Health should help. Best of luck with it - I couldn't cope with that so I feel for you.

    Hi!

I’ve just made my 2nd ‘big’ overpayment of £210.21 bringing my balance to £61,650 so 11.5% of the initial mortgage paid and current LTV approx 60%

I have been really motivated the past month and got loads of little jobs done that were outstanding. I have tiled the kitchen fireplace which has hopefully sealed any mouse runs. The rat problem seems to have settled down. OH said next door who were the source of the problem have had a handyman in pulling up the base of the shed so I’m assuming the rats must have been bothering them too in the end.

I’ve decorated DS room so it’s nice enough for him to have friends round now without being embarrassed. I just need to replace the floor with a cheap carpet so it’s cosy.

Works going good. I’m back in uni doing CPD clinical examination so all is good and I’ve been asked by my consultant to help arrange a conference which is getting my face in all the right places to pursue public health route in the future.

I completed a half marathon for charity a few weeks ago and donated blood for the first time ever today so that’s my good deeds done for the year.

So yeah I’ve been flying this month! Long May it continue 🤞🏻 Xxx
