If the seller supplies the label then the insurance cover is not an issue for youLanzarote1938 said:Item has been posted. Return postage label supplied only insured the item for $50 (sorry can't find the pound sign) so it cost quite a bit more to up the ipostage to cove the $300+ cost of the item.0 -

i didn't know that. ah well it is the first thing I have returned and it did give me peace of mind that the insurance was sufficient. Not had the refund yet, e-cheque is something else i am not familiar with.

Just means the seller probably did not have the full refund money in the paypal account. The cheque
should clear.

Just had an idiot seller re. packaging. Ordered a vintage board game (1993) in really good condition. Arrived today wrapped up in an inside-out Asda plastic carrier bag (not even a strong bag for life) and just sealed with a bit of sellotape. No bubble wrap or even cardboard around it to protect the box.Kudos to Royal Mail though, they managed to deliver it to me with no damage. Just mind-boggling someone would think that was an acceptable way to package and post a vintage item.........2

Once I had a china trinket dish sent in just an ordinary envelope with nothing to protect it. Amazingly it was intact.
Unfortunately, a childs china breakfast set came just wrapped in brown paper and did not fare so well and was chipped.
I have also had a pair of new shoes sent loose in a plastic bag with the heels sticking out on arrival!
Ultimately it is the sellers problem if damage occurs and they will not get compensation if not adequately packaged.0 -
I'm extra careful now if I post anything. A few plastic bags, lots of sellotape and then either a box or a sturdy bubble wrap envelope with tonnes of extra strong tape on it all.
