7382 units @12p would be £900 plus VAT plus standing charges.

    Why do you ask ?
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill
  • Because my last reading was Estimated at 99042 and I am
moving out the property so actual reading is 06424 was just seeing if would be a high bill

As above - 7382 units will be more than I spend in a year for gas and electricity... so (maybe) less than £1K

Have you been sending in regular readings or have you just been accepting estimates. When was your previous estimate of 99042 produced. I'm guessing that with a consumption like that you are all electric

As Robin says, you are looking at around  £1,000-£1,200 depending on your tariff.
Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers

  •  Unit rate 116.6 kWh x 17.817p
    Standing charge 30 days x 22.490p

       ......................................................................................................................................................................... .
  • Not sure if this tells you my tarrif ^

OMG! About £1400 plus standing charges since last bill.
  • What does standing charges mean
  • If the standing charges has been added onto the estimated bill surely wouldn’t be added again ?

The standing charge is a daily charge, i.e. you pay it once per day for each fuel whether you use any energy or not.
Your tariff was horrendously expensive: make sure you do better in your new property.  You MUST take meter readings the moment you move in and you MUST register with the existing suppliers there. Only then are you free to switch.
