Just to point out folks that the OP was posted last August,2020. I suspect they are sorted by now.
I would imagine so! But as a woman pregnant with my first baby, I'm loving reading these recommendations :)

Plus it's one of the few MSE dads threads that isn't about divorce or child maintenance.

I bought a i-candy bundle new for 1200 quid. So far I can't fault it and since it's new it comes with 5-year warranty which gives me peace of mind.
  • It's best to get a pram/car seat combination, that'll save you the hastle of having to buy a car seat separately and constantly taking baby out of one seat to another. Luckily, my sister gave me hers, its the Doona brand... Bare in mind they'll grow out of it so quick and you'll need to get a bigger size  :'(
  • I've found it's best to get a pram/car seat combo because it works out cheaper. Lots of places do bundle deals like Mamas and Papas and Kiddies Kingdom is another good place. For brands check out Joie, Silvercross, Maxi-Cosi and Cybex. They are the main ones most people recommend. For car seats go for one that lasts from newborn to 12 years old if you can. The Silvercross Motion All is one we've just bought, and most places recommend it as one of the bestcarseats.co.uk cos it lasts ages and then you don't need to buy a new one at 15 months of 4 years old.
