I'm asking this on behalf of an elderly friend. She has an older TV (28") and hasn't got the space for a larger one - or the will really. Her TV has at least one HDMI port. She's interested in NOW TV.
Is it correct that she would need the NOW TV stick as her TV doesn't have wifi capability?
Thanks.

Yes, that's probably the cheapest, easiest solution.
There are a few other options.0 -

Roku/Now can connect wired/wireless as needs be to the router2

As a plus, if she doesn't already have it the Roku will also supply access BBC iPlayer & the commercial catchups, and of course Youtube

OP, she can use a Now TV box or a stick. As long as she has an HDMI cable/slot to connect the box or stick to the telly, then they should both be fine. The stick needs wi-fi, whereas the box can be connected to the router - if your friend's wi-fi isn't great, a box might be the better option. If their wi-fi is good, a stick would be fine. The stick can be plugged straight into the telly or use a HDMI cable. The box needs a HDMI cable.0
