My friend is trying to get a refund from Directflights. In desperation she’s looking at sites who promise to get you your money back. Is this a good idea? And does anyone know this one? http://claim.flight-delayed.co.uk/

This looks uncannily similar to Flight Delay Claims Team, the directors of which are currently facing criminal charges for fraud. I would avoid any of these sites.

It is likely your friend has other avenues available
It would help to know the airline and date of the cancelled flight (if the flight was not cancelled there won't be a refund due). Some airlines are taking months to issue refunds (I just got one back last week after 117 days having booked direct with the airline) Has she checked with he airline whether they have issued the refund to Directflights? - third parties won't refund their customer until they receive the refund from the airline.0 -

Dont use the website you linked to, its easy to do oneself and get a full refund but it would be easier if more details are posted of the flight.

The claim is never against the agent, it has to be directed to the airline only assuming this is a claim for a delayed flight0

A report this week into the failure of Flight Refunds Ltd based in Manchester shows the folly of using an unregulated claims handler. When they went into administration they had settled 4,753 consumer claims worth £2.45m but as unsecured creditors, it looks as though the passengers will get nothing. Just where the money has gone is another matter but if you appoint a claims handler they act on your behalf and once an airline has paid them the compensation you are owed, you cannot claim a second time when they don't pay you0
