EE BB vs BT

Hello,
I am currently with Shell which is due to end in November.
I am thinking to go with EE.
Reason:
1. As an existing customer I get 5g extra on my sim.
2. Fibre Plus £27, normal price is £30pm without mobile contract.
3. Topcashbcak offer.
4. They also give £50 credit toward contract charges with the previous provider.
Any feedback with EE service?
Also how they like comparing to BT broadband. Do they both use same routers?
Thanks
Ms

Hi,
Any replies?

Can't comment on EE service. I would suggest you look at the EE community forum. You may discover it is less active than BT or Plusnet forums.

The EE smart hub is a rebadged 'very rare' 2016 BT Smart Hub 1 Type B using Intel/Lantiq chipset. Most BT smart hubs are the 2016 Type A variant using Broadcom chipset.
The BT hubs are locked to only work on BT or Plusnet. I don't believe the EE smart hub can be used on BT, Plusnet or any other ISP, but don't quote me.
BT did publish a performance test of various ISP routers in 2018
