Help for pensioners whose business has been interrupted by coronavirus

I am self employed and my business has halted due to coronavirus. I am a pensioner and receive a basic pension but cannot survive without my extra income due to a large amount of debt I have to service. Is there any financial help I am entitled to? I have looked into universal credit but am not entitled due to receiving a pension. The bank I have my business account with does not offer bounce-back loan. I’m keen not to add more debt to what I already owe but at this point am willing to accept anything available to me as am at risk of loosing everything and don’t know where to turn.
Would really appreciate any guidance you may be able to give me.
thank you

Were you eligible for the SEISS grants? I think it’s too late to claim the first one but you can soon claim the second. If not, you’d need to open an account with a BBL bank, I think. HSBC were offering these to non-customers, but I’m not sure about how long it’s taking now.Signature down for maintenance :rotfl:1

If you weren't entitled to the SEISS and you don't want to apply for the BBL then pension credit is your only option. Unless you live with a partner that is younger than you.

OP does not say what type of business and whether sole trader or Ltd Co. Rather late to suddenly ask the question and, if you did not take furlough or SEISS then these are missed. Second SEISS may still be possible to claim if sole trader. I am not sure what the latest dates were for the property related grants (if eligible). The only other option is BBLS.0

Seems as if you need debt advice rather than a bail out. Defaulting isn't a crime.0

What do you do? Why can't you reopen? That's not meant to sound harsh but unless you are doing something specifically required to be closed, working may be your best optionAn answer isn't spam just because you don't like it......0

The OP doesn't seem to worry about returning to threads, but this one might throw some light on the matter:
