That means it's nothing to do with your bank account.

If OP is right, it sounds like a flex sim (which https://shop.ee.co.uk/plans-and-packs/flex-plans has a title of "no contract").
If the entry is from EE, the only way to get more info is to call them and find out why. Though this entry:
"You can pause or stop your plan anytime. Log in to My EE and go to Menu > Flex plans." suggests its not just a case of not paying them.
First party fraud marker still doesn't sound right - something else is going on here, why the mention of "bank account". Was a payment reversed?Peter
Debt free - finally finished paying off £20k + Interest.1 -
Have you actually thought about speaking to EE and finding out why they've done this?? There are 2 scenarios I can seetommieboy959 said:
1- most likely and like so many people coming on here complaining about a company or product you haven't read the terms and conditions of the account / contract etc and just signed up in the box saying you have read them and agree to abide by them. Then 2 months later you've breached those t&c's that you said you had read and agreed to so EE have quite rightly and within their rights taken action. People defaulting is part of reason others pay more to cover Fraud / Misuse.
2 - Identity fraud and someone has used your details to open an account.
Either way first call EE and ask them what the problem was and see if it can be rectified, that way you will know the facts and not be guessing why the situation has arose.2 -

That was the plan but at the time it was called something else, my bank comes into it because when I took the plan out with ee they wanted my bank details to confirm my details I.D check etc. Last month I tried to upgrade the same bank account and add an overdraft and this was refused and then out of the blue my account was frozen and my bank informed me it was due to information held by CIFAS and I should contact them which I did and found this fraud warning

I will be contacting EE and that why I came on here asking for some help, there was no breach and no monies owed but even if EE think there was a breach and monies owned a fraud marker ??? I have never had debt in my life not even a credit card hence why it took so long to find out about this markerSFindlay said:

A while back there was another post EE has placed a CIFAS because they did not pay the outstanding balance. It should have been a default I think.
Wonder EE is treating it as misuse of account.0 -

Here's a bit more information. Found on https://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/topic/423670-ee-cifas-marker-for-non-payment/

EE are definitely CIFAS members: https://www.cifas.org.uk/services/national-fraud-database/national-fraud-database-members. It's up to the OP to sort this via the dispute procedure documented on https://www.cifas.org.uk/contact-us/subject-access-request#:~:text=Disputing%20the%20Data,contacting%20the%20relevant%20organisation%2Fs.0
