I have 2 bookings for hotels with Travel Republic for Sept 17th 2020. Due to Covid I have tried to contact TR to cancel or amend the hotels. The balance for these bookings are due to be paid on 3rd Sept if I continue to have no joy contacting TR can I cancel the payments one is on a Credit Card the other on a Debit card

If you don't pay, they will treat it as a customer cancellation. What are the T&Cs for cancellation of the bookings?1

I have a package holiday booked with TR due to travel on 27th August. My final payment was due to go out on my credit card on 13th August. They didn't take payment. Then received Customer Support request stating that as FCO advise against travel they recommend I cancel, make the payment if i still want to travel, if I don't make payment by the 19th August then they will cancel and provide a refund as per their refund schedule.
Read TR Twitter pages as they update it regularly, although I do not know what options they provide for hotel only bookings.
May be try and contact the hotel direct to see if your booking is still going ahead.0 -
Where are you flying to? I would NOT cancel anything yourself. If they haven't taken payment as agreed and they cancel then you should be entitled to a full refund. Keep copies of all correspondence.Sale2018 said:I have a package holiday booked with TR due to travel on 27th August. My final payment was due to go out on my credit card on 13th August. Where to? If the hotels are open and available at the time you are due, you won't be entitled to a refund or rebooking. If you don't pay the balance when it is due then you will lose whatever is stated in the t's and c's of your booking.Corsa100 said:I have 2 bookings for hotels with Travel Republic for Sept 17th 2020. I have kept all correspondence. The cancel option they have given doesn't even work on their website. Will wait and see what they reply back with on the 19th.

Sorry this is the first bit

If you stop paying it will be seen as ‘customer cancellation’ or ‘disinclination to travel’, contact them and explain everything. If you cancel, you will lose money. If they cancel, you will be refunded. If there is FCO advice against where you are traveling to, you will be refunded.

Update.
I got an email from TR yesterday stating that they have had to cancel my holiday and I will get a refund within 7 weeks of the amount paid to them. Got all cancellation documents. They didn't take the final payment and I didn't pay it either.
Now just the wait for the refund0
