Asda Deliveries - Beware Missing Items

I had some frozen items missing from my delivery (not from Asda), phoned store and the driver had forgotten those items were in his freezer in the van and delivered them later on. Maybe that's what happened and he kept them.

Never had any problems with Sainsbury's - on the few occasions that items have been missing (or too close to their use-by date) a quick 'phone call was all it needed.

Of course, mistakes happen.  When checking one delivery, when the driver was still there, I found a bag containing finest smoked salmon, 2 fillet steaks and a couple of other high value chilled items.  I said that I hadn't ordered these, so the driver checked that I hadn't been charged for them.  I hadn't.  He then thanked me for my honesty and said that the bag must have dropped into my chill crate from another.

Was the driver a bit unsteady on their feet and talking broken biscuits?

As above re Tesco, on the very rare occasion there's been an issue with delivery or products they have issued a refund, no questions asked or fight.

We stopped having Asda home deliveries as a lot of the dates on the fresh stuff were always ridiculously short!
