Water bills do indeed vary by region.
South West Water are the dearest in the country
Welsh Water is the second dearest in the country
and I wasn't a happy bunny to discover I've got/have always had one of the two dearer companies in the country and some are noticeably cheaper.
Maybe they think we take baths in the sea in the South West? and use all the copious rainwater instead in Wales?
Peoples fuel usage will vary in different parts of the country - I know I'd be using a lot more if I lived in Northern England and more again if I lived in Scotland. Living in Wales - I use a bit more than I did in Southern England. It's down to how cold the different parts of the country are - and whether people are prepared to (or have to) economise on fuel. Personally - I won't sit in the cold and use what I want and the house is usually between 21C - 22C.

@RelievedSheff can feed 2 and a cat quite easily on £25 PW, whatever veg is on offer at the shop (usually spuds, carrots, greens, onions), whatever meat is on 3 for £9. Same with fruit.
I also have a well stocked pantry, bulk buy (rice, cous cous, lentils, cereal).
Very rarely buy 'branded' and shop in the big supermarket.
When in the office it was £5pm on breakfast, lunch and snacks, all prepared at home.
Cheapest weekly shop I did was just over £18.
Haven't snapped out of the 'saving for a home' mentality yet as I'm building up savings again.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -

I thought I would pay more for energy but it turns out that I lived with a lot of people who used more than they need to!0
