I am almost at the end of my current Broadband and phone contract with Now tv (no tv only broadband)
I am looking at the Shell deal with anytime phone.
If I go with the Shell deal do Shell contact my present provider? Bit confused as "Now" states I have to give 10 days notice

Its now gaining provider led .No harm in starting switch then letting current ISP know .PS suggest you read the Shell BB offer posts of the last few days .0

If you are switching between ISP's that use the Openreach infrastructure then all you do to switch is sign up with your new ISP of choice and they contact your current ISP and cancel their service for you. It has been like this for a few years now.

My contract ends on 2 Sept. Does that mean if I start the change now I will have to pay for ending early?

Yes but pro rata , it will start on changeover date and Now TV will charge a couple of weeks if before 2 Sept .
