look After My Bills

Look after my bills moved my account TOTO energy who withdrew twice the monthly amount I was paying last October by direct Debit - I rang to cancel and then they went into administration.  Live accounts were transferred to EDF energy but as I had cancelled I am not a customer of either.  it would appear that Look After my Bills transferred me to a sinking ship.  They are not answering any of my e-mails or telephone calls. it would appear I am now a creditor of TOTO with little chance of getting any money back  I switched myself to British Gas took all of a minute...……………… lesson learnt

EDF will still be responsible for any customers who switched away from Toto but had not received their final bill and any refund due, it will just take them some time to get to the accounts which are not still live.
It is probably too late now, but if you had not been informed about the amount that Toto were due to take by DD then I would have used the direct debit guarantee to have your bank reverse the DD payment at the time.
... and definitely cancel with LAMB since they will not know about your BG switch and could move you before the end of your contract triggering penalties with BG.
  • Thank you for comments yes I have cancelled Look after my Bills how can they look after customers if they cant respond to phone calls  - I contacted EDF but as I was not a customer of TOTO they would not refund me and I was contacting all of above so missed the DD request British Gas came in at the best price fixed for one year. I am now a creditor of TOTO !!!!!

The likes of LAMB is to pander to people who in a nutshell can't be arsed to sort their own utility bills out.  You sign up and the company does all the work behind the scenes.  It says on their website if you have an issue with the billing or the energy after the switch they'll just send you back to the supplier, because LAMB only handles the switching, and as you've found out, does nothing that you can't do yourself.

LAMB earning their living by Switching to suppliers who pay a 'Bounty' to them for getting a new customer - This means that the suppliers who don't pay a Bounty  will just not be on their 'Switch to List' - They take no account of the public feed-back on the suppliers they will a customer to, hence Toto.
Whilst informed customers,  (those who do their own homework), knew Toto were on the skids months before the event

  • Good news as in desperation I contacted KPMG as a creditor of TOTO they very kindly intervened and asked EDF to compensate me as a gesture of goodwill - today I heard a cheque has been issued...………...buyer beware in future thank you for all comments received
  • Has anybody had any problems actually receiving a free gift as advertised for switching energy suppliers with Look After My Bills
I have been trying to contact them about this but they are totally ignoring my emails. Has anybody ever had any free gifts from them, Does anybody know of a solution to this please. My opinion of this company is rapidly going downhill

The solution is to quit Look After My Bills and to understand and manage your utilities yourself.  It's not difficult and you'll save money.

Any gift you might receive is not free, it's paid for in the higher tariff you will be placed on.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
