"As you mention in a previous post, the English on the site was not good, yet you still failed to do any research.
Ah well, couldn't have happened to a nicer chatter."
I don't think you read my comment properly, my research showed that the English was questionable.

But why - when you had done the research and the English on the website was questionable - did you proceed with the purchase?
Was it too good a deal to miss waste your money on?

FTR - I am not a 'clever clogs' or 'mansplainer'.
I'm female and have enough nouse to be put off a deal that walks like a duck, quacks like a duck...well, you see where I'm going.

TBH, I think it's even worse to say you did some research and still went ahead with the purchase.
But I guess you didn't say you thought you were savvy.

What's the difference between 'not good English' and 'questionable English'
I'm male, so apparently fall into the mansplaining element. Maybe you should have started a new thread instead of jumping into someone elses (oops, mansplaining again) and just asked for female responses.

Well mum, er sorry, Pollycat, I'm not pretending that I cant at times be stupid and irrational (can you relate?).  Yes it was a good deal and I took a risk.  Silly child that I am.  Its not a load of money by any means, and as it turns out, Hermes now have the correct tracking number.  Whether its delivered to me or not remains to be seen. I'll let you know ;)

zzzzzz.... there's no difference of course. Read the posts more thoroughly ( see me after school young man) and it might make more sense, but really its a trivial, and frankly a tad boring, issue.

It most certainly is. I put it down to greed. People see a bargain on faceache, fail to do their research and end up on here when they have received nothing, or some very poor quality item that looks nothing like they have ordered.
Perhaps a change in your attitude, instead of insulting people and genders, and instead engaging might have got you more help.

I'm not insulting anyone, I am trying to lighten this ridiculous situation, my humour perhaps isn't coming across terribly well.  Originally I was agreeing with the OP as he/she seemed to have a fair bit of  response from people who seemingly have never made a mistake in their lives, pointing out errors others have made, and coming across , in my opinion, in a  somewhat tut tutting critical parental manner.  So maybe I'm engaging in a slightly different way.  I just get annoyed when people seem to think, in my view, they have never been impulsive, never made a stupid decision.  I'm not moaning about my bad choices, and god knows I've made enough of them. When/if my cheap piece of Chinese !!!!!! arrives I will be sure to post a photo of it.  And if it never arrives, well so be it. Peace and love kids.

    I am not your Mother.
Any offspring of mine wouldn't have seen an item on a website, acknowledged the English was 'questionable' and still gone ahead with the purchase.
    So no - I can't 'relate'.

If it's a ridiculous situation, it's one that you have chosen to put yourself in.
    Your 'humour' is not humour.

Really? And there was me thinking you really were my mum. I'm a grandmother, and never bossy with my kids or grandkids or strangers on the Internet
The relate bit referred to sometimes being impulsive. And the ridiculous situation is this forum.
And that's fine if you don't like my humour, really!
Hope that's cleared everything up .

I think you need to look back at your posting history before claiming something that isn't true.
    I'm out.
Too many silly people impulse buying from Facebook and websites with 'questionable English'.
