Yes, and the minimum standard shouldn't damage vehicles, other wise it isnt fit for purpose. Its really very simple.Dr_Crypto said:Why shouldn’t it? It should only be maintained to a minimum standard not a exceptional standard that protects all vehicles. If you want to drive a Mono about then you take the risks.0 -
OK, if you explicitly declared the optional 20", that'll make the claim easier.davidglewis said:i didnt say that i hadnt declared the options and yes they know all of the optional extras on the car0 -
Your first mistake was coming here, there a some vocal posters that post on all threads, such as Adrian that don't have much knowledge but do have much to say. As with anything on the internet take it with a pinch of salt and find other sources to substantiate. Martin has a guide on the main site about claiming for pothole damage, I would recommend consulting that. Without reading it I suspect it won't be blaming victims for having nice wheels.davidglewis said:

I have followed the advice on the main site and had a lovely response from Wendy @ HE, but now faced with no clear path forwards. i honestly thought i would get some friendly advice on here, not abuse.
Thanks for the support from you and a few others.0 -
OP you need to be clear on what HE liabilities are, they will not suck up all liabilities that extend from damage to your car by the road surface. They would need to be found negligent which means inspections occurring outside their reasonable scheduled time intervals, otherwise it is an insurance issue, they will not volunteer to cover every occurrence and have no duty to do so under law.3

I can't see where anyone has abused you. People may not have agreed with you and not written exactly what you wanted to read but that doesn't make it abusive in any way.davidglewis said:brilliant - thanks for the advice.

If this ever turned into a forum where people only replied to back up people asking questions and always stated that they were 100% in the right, it would be totally pointless.2 -
If you lived in Africa would you buy a low profile car or a proper off road 4x4?Scrapit said:
