Another CCJ - payment to remove from credit score?

Hi
I followed the instructions a couple of years ago regarding a parking ticket (Jan 2018), I've since moved house and just checked my credit score today and noticed a CCJ issued on 30th July; I only checked because I went to apply for a mortgage in principle and it flagged up on that.
At the time I had documentation and actually the paid car park ticket that the ticket issuer failed to notice, however, that documentation has since been lost and therefore not usable. I've had a read through the forum regarding getting it set-aside etc but I want to sort out a mortgage in the next few months and it looks like this is going to stop that.
If I pay the CCJ (currently £185) will that get it off the score? It appears from reading this forum that it doesn't remove it, however, the .gov website seems to say if it's paid within 30days the CCJ can be removed... ?

So is this a continuation of your earlier thread?3

If your CCJ was issued on 30th July you have (normally) until approximately 31st August to pay it and have it removed from your credit rating/score as if it was never there. After that it gets marked as satisfied. If you pay it, you will then find it very difficult to get it set aside. Ask yourself what are the chances of successfully defending the underlying PCN before you make any rash decisions.3

I don't have any of the documentation/ticket anymore, I'm kicking myself but I think it will have been shredded in the last tidy of the house. I did have a scanned copy on the computer but I'm struggling to find that so at the moment I'm thinking it's pretty unlikely that I can defend it.Sounds like I can just get rid of it by paying which might be the go to option to stop any problems with the mortgage0 -
You can stilll set aside after paying. You dont lose the optiuon, but as usual you would be applying promptly because otherwise you lose access to CPr13.3 reason to set aside2

Hi all, just a quick update, I decided to just pay it to get it off the record but now I'm having major issues actually getting in contact with Excel parking - I've emailed about 4 email addresses that they list, I've tried calling and waiting on what I assume is hold for over an hour on a couple of different occasions, I've tried calling the business park where they are registered to see if there is an alternative number to call them on - any other ideas?
Cheers

@jonn33 - send a cheque and covering letter and do a photocopy of both and send to the court 'for information' and ask that they update their records. Some PPCs are very slow to inform the court that a CCJ has been paid in full which causes the individual ongoing credit problems. You are creating a paper trial to cover your back.IMPORTANTYou've not confirmed exactly what the deadline date is for paying off this CCJ - it just seems to have hit your credit record at break-neck speed between being issued on 30th July and your opening post on 11th August. Please confirm. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Please confirm. Thanks both, I'm happy to post a cheque, my main concern was getting it removed from my credit score should I pay it. That's great advice to send a copy to the courts as well as proof then I suppose they can ensure it is removed - is it the court that gets it removed or do Excel parking request the removal?Im assuming it would be the Northampton County Court Business Centre that I would send proof to?Needs to be paid by 30th August, I only found out about it by chance on 11th August. Just lucky in some ways I guess that I spotted it within the month period.0

I'm assuming it would be the Northampton County Court Business Centre that I would send proof to?That's right.
You need to move quickly. The CCBC are not the quickest at handling paperwork.
Send everything standard First Class Post, getting a free Certificate of Posting from the Post Office counter. The item is deemed delivered two working days later.

I'll get it all prepared today and sent out on Monday.I'm guessing that even if Excel don't cash the cheque or respond to receiving it, as the courts will have proof it can be retrospectively removed?1
