Britbox .. mis-spell your email and it could cost you

I have 3 email addresses I currently use regularly, and have had half a dozen more in the past. My OH is constantly losing login details and asking me to reset passwords and user names. Some people struggle, so I have sympathy with the op. 

It was assumed that the OP's friend was already signed into Britbox on their TV or other device. I have Britbox on the TV, and don't sign in and out of the app each time, as there is no security implication of staying logged in.
