Barclaycard still took my DD despite a four grand holiday refund credit .Shakin_Steve said:
It would on some cards, definitely Barclaycard. I've had a few refunds from amazon and the like, and they reduce my monthly direct debit.surreysaver said:What made you think the credit would count as a payment for the month?
Have you not got a direct debit set up to ensure that you don't miss any payments?
As others have said it may have been refunded to late for the Direct Debit amount not to be taken, I've certainly had my DD reduced on my Barclaycard when I've had a refund.
Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -
It's amazing what information you can find by reading the statement !Please note: Refunds dont count towards your minimum payment

Hopeful it is now sorted, ages to get through phone as couldn't do it via chat line.
I'm still not too confident they'll have it sorted.
Appears that they thought my zero balance ran out August this year, which it actually runs out next year. So someone just kindly removed it.
Anyway the girl I spoke to says it should be sorted now, they have credited the interest rate, she did say I'd already paid enough this month to cover monthly balance but no offence to her (she was very helpful) I've paid the amount required as to me it seems too many cooks and all that.
Anyway will see what happens next month.
Thanks

Same here. Barclaycard definitely treat refunds as payments towards the balance, and reduce the DD accordingly. I've noticed it numerous times.dr_adidas01 said:wiseonesomeofthetime said:
