Free netflix after buying tv from argos

I regularly check the devices signed into my Netflix account and check any alerts if a new device signs in, but if this person doesn't, and you're feeling generous, then go into the settings and force all devices to sign out - this may prompt the account holder to wonder whats going on and at least change their password.
I would have gone back to Argos right at the start, but if it was last year, I'd say it's far too late, presuming the TV is working fine0 -
No chance - there's no way to prove you didn't just get a mate to sign in and now want a shiny new TV for free.
Also, you can't buy content on Netflix - it's a viewing platform where you stream their set catalogue of content.0 -
After contacting Argos it seems they couldn't care less so I now have a used tv but with free netflix (unless the previous owner ever changes his password) !0

If the previous owner has anything about him/her, they'll see their viewing history and change their password. If you were to act decently, you'd log out and delete the account on your TV.2

Sounds like the OP just wants to brag and has intention of deleting the account on his TV (if this is real of course).
Thank you all who post.1 -

That's the reality with Argos. You can take stuff back few questions asked - because they just rebox it and sell it on without letting the next owner know it was unboxed.Count yourself lucky you actually have a TV and not a box of rocks. That's a common scam on Amazon - scammer orders item, unboxes, stuffs rocks in box to same weight, and returns for refund. Amazon don't bother checking before selling the item again.0
