Claiming against Harvey's Furniture Insurance

I bought a 3-piece suite in Feb'19 on a 48 month finance deal.
I took out what I have now found out was only accidental damage insurance, but have got a 5 year manufacturer's guarantee on mechanical fault.
The reclining mechanism on 2 of the four settee chairs are faulty and would like to know how I get it repaired or replaced?
Harveys will do nothing as in administration
There insurance company said not their problem as our policy does not cover that part od sofa.
The finance company - CREATION in Solihull - do not answer phones or emails.

Did you pay a deposit by another mechanism?
If the insurance is accidental damage only then you have to take the matter up with either the retailer under the Consumer Rights Act, or the manufacturer under the warranty. As you paid with finance then its almost certain that you will have the same rights as you had against the retailer mirrored to the finance company under S75 of the Consumer Credit Act.
Unless you paid the deposit by credit card then you will have to persist with trying to get hold of Creation who are probably swamped with calls from people impacted by Covid and worried about paying their bills. Maybe look for another number, email address or if push comes to shove, write a letter.0 -

Since posting my issue, Creation have answered and are processing through their complaints dept under S75 a complaint and will try and get my issue resolved, but not soon.

To be fair I found creation helpful when I had a chinese scam website rip me off. They did a recharge by the book. As you said they are snowed under at the moment
