Scammed on gumtree bank transfer

Options
So I’ve sold a caravan. The woman sent someone to collect and paid by bank transfer. Now she is saying it’s not as described and will be recalling the payment? Can she do this? Will she get the money back and keep the caravan?

Bank transfer is safe, so she cannot just reverse the payment.

BUT... if you described it as perfect condition with no damp and it wasn’t then they could take you to court for the caravan not being as described.

what are they saying the issue is?
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

that’s fine. As long as my bank account is safe. I’d give her the bloody money if she bought it back but it’s a scam.

Why would the buyer buy it back?  What is the scam?

Brought it back to me not bought it back. Sorry that’s my accent! The scam is taking it but not actually coming herself for the item then making all sorts of threats for money back but to keep the item. I’m just ignoring her now anyway. I offered her £50 at one point but she isn’t getting £1... as far as I’m aware there’s no way of getting money back from bank transfer anyway.

The fridge and heater had been removed. We are talking about a 35 year old caravan. There was a mini fridge and portable heaters in the caravan that I gave her. There was no fridge or heater advertised or in the pics.

She’s hounded me all day and night. Just got an email at 00:20 saying ‘claim put in’

In what way does she claim it wasn't as described? Seems like you're clear it was no showroom model - had a few rough edges - but perfectly useable.

I think she’s just a mad woman! Looking at her gumtree she seems to buy and sell loads of old rubbish. Looks like a scammer to me. Just glad she doesn’t have my phone number

Haven’t a clue. Looking at the reciept she sent she banks with RBS but surely they’re the same as natwest and tell you to check the item etc before you send money as you can’t get it back?
