Replacing company car, suggestions for good BiK rates?

No. I brake and the car stops at the lights for example. If my foot is firmly on the brake pedal and the car decides there is enough charge in the battery and the demister isn't running, the engine will cut out, until I ease my foot away from the pedal. My foot can still be on the brake and the engine will restart, if I release some pressure using minimal pressure on the brake pedal.Scrapit said:
Whilst in motion? I've not found that and sounds like a bad ideaMercdriver said:
Most autos with S/S it activates when you have had your foot firmly on the brake pedal for a few secondsDoaM said:
That sounds like a fault ... it shouldn't kick in until the vehicle is in neutral. (Although I'll accept that a DSG box version may react differently - I've never driven one).Clive_Woody said:
apart from the stop-start function which is a pain in the !!!!!! and kicks in at the most unhelpful times (like slowing down at a junction prior to turning)0 -
Which all sounds sensible ... but differs greatly from what was said earlier:Mercdriver said:

That certainly doesn't sound safe or sensible.Clive_Woody said:

It is indeed a DSG and from looking on forums it seems I am not alone with this issue. The taxi firm I use also have a variety of Skodas and the drivers have mentioned how much they hate the stop/start function and deactivate it as soon as they start the car.DoaM said:

If it kicks in whilst slowing down at a junction then its faulty and dangerous.Clive_Woody said:
