Blimey, if I had to declare any dispute "nearby" I'd need several extra sides of A4 ... and maybe even include the newspaper articles about the shooting opposite ...

OP- if you have to ask the question and are looking for reasons not to answer honestly, you have your answer.

it's a legal form with the question written in legal language by legal experts who got paid lots to do so.  You answer the actual question precisely as asked, not a question you think they might possibly be asking!

When you get an offer tell your solicitor about it and they'll explain exactly what needs to go on the form, that's what you're paying them for.

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Blimey, I just realise when I sold that I didn't mention the house 7 doors down from us that had the police helicopter hovering overhead one night when the HMO occupants fell out with each other.
The situation was resolved by the landlord selling the house to a family, end of problem. But even if it was still there, I wouldn't have thought to give information about a property that far away.
We weren't on speaking terms with our immediate neighbour by the time we left due to a rude comment he made to my husband when we asked them to stop cutting our hedge into an odd shape. They stopped doing this so we deemed the matter resolved and didn't mention that either.

Yes, it can be. Some farm contractor's machinery can be confused with the sound of jet planes, it's that powerful, and you really don't want to live next to a field that they're de-stoning! Then, of course, in the country, everyone has to own a dog or three, the sound of which is charmingly characterised as 'the Starlight Barking' in Lady & the Tramp, but like the rest of real life, nothing like Disney's portrayal. And don't get me started on animals separated from their young....that's noisy and sad!
    But sometimes, it's lovely! o:)

The problem is, real life isn't very precise, but I'm glad these legal experts are well remunerated. Made my day to read that!
