Carphonewarehouse/O2 upgrade

Hi,

Recently Carphonewarehouse have been trying to contact me to upgrade my phone with O2 as they said I was entitled to as it had run out of contract in 2018. Unbeknown to me I did not realise they had cut ties with O2 in March this year. I went ahead on good faith and switched to Vodafone. I got my last bill through with O2 last week and showed as that a bill of £400 was due as my contract only started Oct 2019 and is a 3 year deal. I have tried to go back to Carphonewarehouse on the fact it was misold and that they never said that they can't see O2 contracts anymore. The person I spoke to said they cant do anything now and hung up on me despite me requesting a manager. I know I should of checked but can I take this further with them ie trading standards etc. O2 say I need to pay even if I go back to them. Any advice from anyone please?

Sounds like you have been ripped off......Now you have moved over to Vodafone and because you broke your contract with O2 they now want there money you owe them for cancelling your contract with them.
Did you not know you where in a contract with O2 you must have got a new contract with them or Upgrade in October?
i'm sorry to say that O2 will want their money they really haven't done nothing wrong.
It looks like it's between you and CPW did you ring them? 
Who did you get your Pac number from to transfer your number to Vodafone? or did you just get a new number
How long ago did you do all this Was it longer than 14 days ago?
