Three voicemail persistent notification
I've been with 3 a while and have just got a new Samsung phone. I don't use 3's voicemail but use the Hullomail app for voicemail.
The problem is I keep getting a notification from 3 voicemail that says New Voicemail. I tap it and it dials 3 voicemail which says I have no new messages.
The notification won't go away unless I go through a rather complex set of actions that I managed to research online. The problem is that the notification then comes back again later.
I've contacted 3 and asked them to turn off my voicemail facility but still I get these notifications.
I've added the number they come from to my contacts and then blocked them but still they come in.
I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem and found a cure!?
Thanks

This used to happen on Orange, if it's the same then you have to leave yourself a message and delete it, that should solve it, fingers crossed!0

The problem notification seems to be coming from the Call Settings system app which is part of Android and the people at 3 seem to feel it's "not them" and have suggested I contact Samsung, which is what I plan to do next0 -

This is what i did.
Go to Settings
Apps
3 dots top right
Show system apps
Phone there are 3 of them
Press on each one Under storage and clear data on each of the Phones apps.
Then reboot your phone.

It's a setting on the phone its not Three....I had the same problem a while ago with my samsung galaxy s6edge
This is what i did.
Go to Settings
Apps
3 dots top right
Show system apps
Phone there are 3 of them
Press on each one Under storage and clear data on each of the Phones apps.
Then reboot your phone.
I've done it and still the rogue notification come up instantly on re-boot.
It's the Call Settings app which seems to be producing the problem notification but all of the options are greyed-out. I can do Storage and Clear Data but it does no good. Can't really influence the app other than clear the data.

I've just put another 3 SIM into the phone in place of the normal one and the problem does not happen. This makes me wonder if a way round this might be for me to request a new 3 SIM and ask 3 to transfer my number to the new SIM - rather as would be done if I'd lost or damaged my SIM?0

If it's ok with a different sim i would give it a go and order a new sim as you said.
it's easy enough to transfer your number to a new sim....
I know how you feel it took me about a week to find a solution it was really peeing me off.Nobody is Perfect. I am Nobody, therefore I am Perfect.0
