My apologies if this is in the wrong category. A company I have investments in is going into liquidation and I have been contacted by GDS Consulting as they have been appointed by the company to assist in the liquidation. They are offering help with the claim process for a fee. They sound OK, but has anybody had any dealings with them, please?
Thanks
Thanks

What company do you have investments with?2

I can not see that a company helping/overseeing a liquidation could be at the same time offering to help creditors/investors for a fee?1

Thank you for your comments. The company I invested with was Quinshaw Finance.0

Yes definite scam and your original money will have gone. A quick google throws up the reason, high risk bonds that people are led to believe are little different to fscs bank deposits but can, and do, end up with 100% capital loss.1

No chance to get the money back. Write it off to experience as I guess you will not do it again .0

OP how did you get to know of this company? Was it via social media ads?"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

I too have been a victim of Quinshaw Finance
GDS consulting has now passed Quinshaw onto a rescue and recovery practice called Begbies Traynor www.begbies-traynor.com.

The money is gone. A total loss. Any fees that you pay to try to make things better will also be lost.
Sometimes hope is a bad thing.

This quote from the linked thread sums it upLegit in what way? Yes, they offer them. yes they are a real company. However, what they offer is not a regulated retail investment. It is not a savings product and it has no FSCS protection.
Its a damned high risk unregulated investment of a type where 100% capital loss happens on all too frequent basis. The very high yield reflects the high odds of failure.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.3
