Also, i fail to see how they can "catch you out"
You realise a deadline is just that - OK when received even 1 min before, not ok one min after, meaning deadliens are set to be fair to the other parties!

I've also been told that the problem with e-mail is that, if the matter ever did come to court, they could e-mail you their documentation one minute before the deadline and catch you out.
Was this 'on the telly', or from someone 'down the pub'?
No, on the consumer action group forums who have been exceedingly helpful so far
The problem with posting about the same case on two separate forums is that you won't get twice the advice, more like twice the confusion. You haven't posted on PePiPoo as well by any chance? 🥴
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

CAG are not great.  Stuff posted by Eric's Brother is particularly concerning/wrong.

I re-joined and left within two weeks flat as they are so clueless about parking stuff.  Stay here.
