Capital One Chargeback

Has anyone used Capital One for the above during the current pandemic ?
Just wondering how they have been performing.
I had a fairly swift result from them when Flybe went under earlier in the year.
The Target...surprise surprise.... Last Minute.con
I am sick of their prevarication, flouting of consumer legislation and half baked lies in relation to my cancelled holiday,
At least I'm only in for £400 after swerving the balance payment on an already redundant booking to Florida.

Unfortunately the card I paid the deposit with and the one they had on record for me was "lost" prior to the Balance being due.
It's replacement was safely in my pocket with no access for crooked tour operators.0 -
Well that's the Chargeback completed.
I can't see any credible defence from LM.com
My flights were cancelled in June which effectively cancelled the Package Holiday (Single Contract)
I'm legally entitled to my deposit back 14 Days from that date.
We are now in August and it's only 400 sheets !!1 -
Well initial success from Capital One....
Not from LM.com yet !!!
But did a chargeback the following day for Ryanair flights cancelled in June, should have travelled last Friday to join LM.com USA Trip in Dublin. All I had to supply was the original receipt, the cancellation notice and the refund confirmation application from Ryanair. Obviously Cap1 agreed two months was to long to wait for what should have arrived in 7 Days.
Refund of £290 approved today but they do have 45 Days to challenge - No grounds though.
Wish I had not waited so long.
Anyone waiting for a refund on cancelled Ryanair Flights ....Chargeback now !!!1 -
Good for Capital 1. My holiday on 3rd June paid with NW credit card. Charge back request on 12th June and still waiting for NW to process it."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Was yours done online - I had to fill a form out and scan the relevant documents to accompany it.missile said:Good for Capital 1. My holiday on 3rd June paid with NW credit card. Charge back request on 12th June and still waiting for NW to process it.
Must admit I was surprised how quickly they approved it.
However I had .....
The original receipt from Ryanair
The cancellation from Ryanair
The confirmation from Ryanair of my request for a refund dated June
Textbook case and it was only £290 ?
ps If they approve my Lastminute.com one I'll know there is a God. They requested a further bit of information I forgot to send which I did yesterday,0 -
Got another refund organised today from a Proper Company unlike the above two shysters.
BA Flights from Inverness to London Heathrow in October cancelled yesterday.
Rang up today - it did take me longer to get through than the 2 mins last time, about 20 minutes ignoring all the options.
Refund sorted in minutes will be back on my card in about a week - last one took 3 days.
Note Virgin, Easyjet and Ryanair - where theres a will theres a way !!0 -
Oddly my refunds from Ryanair were rapid, EasyJet are absolutely awful... I got an email last week apologising that my future flight was cancelled, even though the flight was supposed to take off three+ weeks ago!Butts said:Got another refund organised today from a Proper Company unlike the above two shysters.

Chargebacks are currently awful too, they seem to have lost their attention to detail, I have a chargeback dating to January that they closed this week saying "we can't act as the time since transaction is too great", even though it was raised within 30 days of transaction back then. I can't even speak to a human, the phone lines say 40+ minutes then drop dead after an hour. Terrible!0 -
I had to download the form and submit by post with supporting documents.Butts said:

Probably got a.bit.of spare cash say around after the way they're treating their staff currently. Firing any cabin crew crew that were left with anything like respectable T&C's....Butts said:Got another refund organised today from a Proper Company unlike the above two shysters.
