  • Mine are reduced by over £150! Previously when checking online it didn't have my next payments as it stated it was being updated due to child leaving education. I notified child benefit by post and tax credits online. No paperwork from either. Now tax credits had my next three payments back up with the big drop. Not due a payment until the 18th, but I use it for me petrol to get to work so need to know asap as to whether I need to adjust my budget or not. So frustrating, and will have to do it all again this time next year for child number 2!
How random, I checked the account at 4.30pm drop in next three payments of £150, just rechecked now less than an hour later and they have gone back to my previous level. With an extra £70 🤷🤦🤔😂

Mine have updated too, I'm getting 25% this Friday, an additional payment Tuesday which will take September's money up to £30 more than usual then my payments drop by around £50 a time.

Honestly, I have given up trying to figure out how they work it out. I just ensure that I am meticulous about updating any changes and accept the amount 😂 I also run through entitled to and the figures normally sort of match!

Apparently I was paid a lower amount in April so May to August was higher to take account of this and it's now dropped down to what it should be...
They did say as long as your payments since April have remained the same then there will be no change from September.
Now I generally save TC to put towards holidays, Christmas and Birthdays but it's such a pain to budget into normal household costs
