    Important facts here.
Why did you want a refund?
How long was it between you receiving the item and you informing Amazon you wanted a refund?
If it was faulty then Amazon must pay costs for returning it. And can't demand you do something inconvenient for you, for example Amazon can't insist on collecting it on their choice of date and time. This still applies if it's a defect that hasn't prevented you using the TV, such as a connector that doesn't work or a crack in the case that was there when you got it.
If you just didn't want it then in normal circumstances you would have to pay for return shipping.

However if you have evidence you were told you didn't need to return the item, for example a transcript from an online chat, then you may have a case. I would be pushing Amazon to at the least pay for the return postage and packing, considering if I was told I could keep the TV I would have discarded the original box.

Hi, 2 months ago I had a tv to return to amazon, they refunded my money before the item was returned, but i had trouble returning it as no couriers for such a large item were available due to corona problems,i contacted them via their live customer service, they also couldnt find a courier to return it,they told me I could keep the tv for free.........however today they`ve told me I need to return it or they`ll charge me for it again......i mean what the hell ?  I`ve contacted them they just keep saying oh u have to return it....they have been good to me in the past, but i`m somewhat shocked about this...i was planning on selling it.  nothing i can do?

It's always best for these types of threads for you to be clear at the start that you only want to hear the answers you like. It saves a lot of people wasting their time replying. Thanks.

I imagine Amazon told him to hang to it for just now until things got back to normal and is now crying because he can't keep the TV, which if he was planning on selling it is without fault.

Bye bye Amazon account, surprised its not gone already.
