Hi, 2 months ago I had a tv to return to amazon, they refunded my money before the item was returned, but i had trouble returning it as no couriers for such a large item were available due to corona problems,i contacted them via their live customer service, they also couldnt find a courier to return it,they told me I could keep the tv for free.........however today they`ve told me I need to return it or they`ll charge me for it again......i mean what the hell ? I`ve contacted them they just keep saying oh u have to return it....they have been good to me in the past, but i`m somewhat shocked about this...i was planning on selling it. nothing i can do?

Sounds like you got some dodgy advice initially or misheard, I can't believe any company would seriously say you can keep the TV for free. The TV is their property and they are entitled to have it back.1

well i had problems returning a couple of other things before ,and they let me keep them <shrug> isnt like i asked them to do it, just upset they would do such a thing ,i have a log of the convo where they said i could keep the tv,and so does amazon.0

What's the problem? You're no worse off. Certainly not worth getting upset about. Wanting to keep it is just greed.2

well if someone gave u something for free, then took it away you`d be upset too duck......this is becoming another troll place0

So giving an opinion that you don't like is trolling, is it? Right.
One option you have is to tell them you've sold it and see what they say when presented with the evidence of the original instruction. You may be allowed to keep it but you appear to value your amazon account. Don't be surprised if they close your account and any connected with your address or payment cards.4 -

That might be the issue. They may have said you could keep the TV - before they realised similar incidents had happened before.
They may think you are now purposely ordering things, with the intention of saying that you want to return them - and hoping that you can keep them for free.
So maybe they'll now refuse to let you keep things for free, to stop it becoming a habit.2 -

Amazon perhaps may have checked your history in more detail, regarding your previous unwanted items after ordering.
And decided enough is enough. Especially expensive items like TVs?
OP. It appears this time you will not be able to duck out of your responsibility to ensure their goods are returned.
Also OP you asked for advice / opinions. If you do not agree with the replies, perhaps because they were not what you wanted to here. Then to start accusing posters of being trolls is silly.
