How to import stock and fund prices in excel

Doesn any one know how to import shares and funds data in excel (either automatically or via manual refresh?
I am maintaining an excel and wanted to know the latest prices and hence valuation of invesetments.Tried searching online and found a clunky way to scrape FT.com website, but that doesn't look promising.
Alternatively I used MS excel 'stocks' option under data tab, but then all funds names and their codes are not available.

It's not great for funds. What I do is create a Watchlist portfolio in Morningstar, cut and paste (as text) into a tab on my spreadsheet and derive all the pricing from that. Once set up the cut and paste takes seconds and is preferable to constant debugging of automatic price update functions.

Create a folder on your laptop and bookmark all you are following.

Create a dummy portfolio on the London Stock Exchange website0

Or an ft.com portfolio0

There are multiple options for creating a dummy portfolio, some are more amenable to cut and paste than others. As I say Morningstar works for me.

Thanks. This is not about creating dummy portfolio! Rather about how to import the value of funds in the excel.

Cut paste is another work around. I am also in regular investing, not sure automatic price update is going to be nightmare for me

I have done it. Point is how to reflect the values in excel in someway - except manually entering those regular investment transactions.0
