Impossible to leave Virgin Media

I have been trying to leave VM for 3 weeks. The phone rings out or tells you they will text you a code to the online link, the link and website just tell you to call. Everything leads back to where you started and leave you chasing your tail in a big loop. I even took a 20 minute drive to the next town over to speak to the store staff but found it was closed just as my local store had, only they hadn’t bothered to update their web details on google like their local counterparts. I have tweeted VM in frustration to no avail. I feel like this is a deliberate ploy, hiding behind Covid as the reason things “might take a while”. Any advice or similar experiences?
