Hi. Asking on behalf of my son. Basically the covid situation has seen him out of a job for the past 4 months, very little help from benefits as his partner works. They have a 12 month old baby. Anyway the wonderful sky have taken a payment from his bank basically leaving him without a penny( taken the last 60 quid). My son thought he had cancelled the DD but it seems the crafty so and so set up his account by using his card. He has rang to explain his situation as the sky website states they can offer help in these difficult times?. When he has rang they have bluntly said no cannot help and they cannot refund the money, they have never missed a payment basically this has tipped him over the edge. As his mother I'm helping but surely they have some compassion when a lad rings and is pleading with them of his situation. I am going to take it further as I'm worried about him mentally and emotionally. Who is the best person to email as phoning them is useless.

Email for what ??Is he still in contract and that is why the payment was taken .0

Not much you can do about the payment that has been taken especially if the subscription was still active and valid.
Going forward there may be some leeway in payment available, he'll just have to call again.
He has had 4 months to think about his situation so it can hardly come as a surprise, I know it sounds harsh but he needs to keep on top of the family finances.0 -
If he is out of min. contracted period then he should cancel Sky ASAP.0
