the jug shows CLEAR liquid being squeezed out while engine running.

The other picture reflects what I put in. Anyone agree this has NOT had red coolant combined?

So the liquid is all clear but you dont think mechanic did the work?

Did you consider they may have flushed it couple times?
There is flushing, which is not on receipt, and then there is coolant change, which I was charged for. This is the "red" coolant he charged me for but cannot see any sign of. He even implied I should have checked his work. You tend to trust mechanics. Being a black expansion tank,  hard to tell (didn't realise it worked like it does until fellow BMW  owner pointed it out, hence picture)

You've destroyed the evidence when you put your own anti-freeze in (the wrong one by the way) , you have no proof they didn't do it.
I lost no more than 3 litres of of the 8 litre capacity. You can't tell me red coolant (approx 5 litres)   wouldn't mix colour with 2 litres G48 green. Recommended by BMW enthusiasts

So is the clear stuff antifreeze? What was in it before you gave it to the garage?
At best you've got a claim that they didn't use red stuff, they can claim that either (a) they used clear stuff or (b) they used red stuff and you've flushed it since.

He probably didn't do the work, but how do you actually prove it?

    Ah, you kinda get it..

It was "changed" in January. He is adamant he used RED.  I would be unaware unless something arose like this.
It would be a bit extreme for a small claim. Believe me. I'd have kinda been happier not knowing (until block cracked)

I have the video showing no redness and green in now, but I see your point. How to prove it.

Great done over by 2 sets of conmen

Are you saying that the engine block cracked and that it was caused by the lack of the proper coolant?

I am saying conmen dipped fingers in oil, then into the coolant, therefore contaminating it.  I drained just the expansion tank (where the clear liquid came from). The reference to the block would/could have been this coming winter. Try using water, see how long your block lasts.
The point is NO mixture of colours.   This is 8-10 year old art stuff (mixing the 3 prime colours)

A few drops of oil in the antifreeze will harm your engine?  Where did you get that idea from?

If they put in  antifreeze that was not recommended by the car manufacturer, you would not necessarily have a case against the mechanic.  If they put in just water, yes you would have a case.

Forget about a petition.  If they put in just water, I would go to court and if you win then start the petition if you feel that you want more than just justice and your money back.

I believe it was just water they put in. That's my whole case.

The petition is for scum trying to scam people out of a lot of money .  Just unlucky finding the water after the scammers. Just need to sell my bmw to get golf back. Lost my job, mortgage to pay, kids and cats to feed etc

So should I look into small claims?

If the above, my bold, is true then surely you have more pressing problems to get on with?
